Indian scientists discovered the Pythagoras Theorem,but we gave its credit to Greeks.We all knew "Beejganit" much before the Arabs,but we allowed it to be called Algebra.This is the base that Indian Scientific community has maintained, Mr Harsh vardhan, Union Minister Of Science & Technology said.
Whether its related to Solar system,Earth science,Chemistry or Medicine,we have shared all our knowledge with others and we have never used our knowledge of science for negative ppurposes he said.
Ancient Scientists have graciously allowed scientists from other countries to take credit,he said in the Inaugural event of Indian Science Congress,Mumbai.
